Ford Galaxy poor starting

Car: Ford Galaxy
Variant: 1.9tdi
Model Year: 2002
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Same problem as last year - never resolved. When my car has been left overnight at work/when out, as soon as the temp drops a bit or if damp. The car starts but cuts out straight away - have to turn the car over and over for about 30secs to get it to start aagin. So far has cost about £200 but still same - ford diagnostics has failed,no faults logged but they change a sensor just in case. Not glow plugs - already changed. Fuel filter replaced as it also does it when left nose up. Its fine by the house - starts first time. Any idea's

There are issues with moisture dampness entering the m.a.f.. wiring connections and causing a change to m.a.f operating parameters maybe you could try water proofing this when its parked up in a more exposed area.Other thought is fuel run back but this would happen at your home also.Just in case you could substitute a clear hose at the fuel line to physically see this is okay,You really need to check it when the faults actually occuring.Due to the random ness of this fault could be difficult to locate,You need to check the basics,Is it fueling,Is it getting enogh air.strange that a main dealer can not pull out a code, and even check driving cycles to see whats faulting it.
