Ford Fusion high pitch whistle that never stops.

Car: Ford Fusion
Variant: 1.4 petrol Durashift
Model Year: 2008
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & LightsLeaks & Noises
The car (UK estate model) has a high pitched whistle that is louder inside than outside. Fuses are ok and there are no error codes. but due to hearing loss I can't narrow down the location. I presume it's a sensor of some kind, but it's not in the handbook or my Haynes manual. Any advice appreciated please.

Hard to really advise without a lot more info but USUALLY whistle you describe would be caused by turbo whistle or air leak , hose / pipe leak but dont think you have a turbo on that version . Could also check the PCV valve / hose , air intake hose

No, there's no Turbo on it. But thanks for the idea and the link. I'll check that.
