Ford Fusion battery light stays on

Car: Ford Fusion
Model Year: 2007
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Yesterday, having been driven about a mile, the battery light came on. Green Flag came out and said the battery was OK, the alternator was OK and the fan belt was OK, so it must be a "glitch" and low risk to drive. The diagnostic thingy identified mis-firing, but Green Flag man said there was no mis-firing.

What my husband didn't mention was that I had driven through flood water 24 hours before that. Could that be the reason the battery light is on now? (It didn't come on at the time).

May have water in the electrics under the bonnet. Try and disconnect some of the electric connectors to see if they are wet, if so dry out as much as possible and reconnect. It maybe the water that is slightly arcing across the contacts...
Hopefully it will dry out and not give you any lasting problems...
