Ford Focus loosing water pressure

Car: Ford Focus
Variant: 1.8 dtci
Model Year: 2007
Categories: Leaks & Noises
I have recently spent £1500 on my focus. The injector and piston was replaced (no2) the head was skinned and tested and a new gasket. There was a waterleak from a hose which wasnt connected correctly. Now I have pressure. It is not consistant. I can drive 20 miles visually check the water and there will be an inch left. Undo the cap and it all comes back. I can do 6 miles and it all appears to be gone but then undo the cap and it all comes back!! I dont know what to do next, neither does the macanic!! Please help, I really cant afford to do much else

You could try bleeding cooling system , but doubt it would cure , but never know . If this doesn't fix it , would suggest getting a block test (sniff test ) to confirm there isn't still a problem with head / gasket , even though it was tested and skimmed .A fault with head gasket can cause airlock in cooling system and pressurising , giving you this fault .
