Ford Focus brakes?

Car: Ford Focus
Variant: 1.6 LX
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hi
After i have parked my car overnight and go to start it in the morning which starts fine, put it into gear and release the handbrake, the car won't move even when i put my foot on the gas. After about 10 seconds i hear a popping sound i think coming from the back of the car and the car will then move and i can drive normally without any problems.
This only seems to happen if the car has been parked a while.

Any advice to what this is and how much it will cost to fix?

Many thanks in advance

I dont know if that year / model of Focus has shoes or pads on rear . Would seem that either h/brake cable is sticking or brake shoes inside drum .If disc brakes on rear , could be h/brake cable , calliper linkage / piston , pads sticking .If drums on rear you can get shoes sticking if wheel cyl. leaking .Best to get checked out as any binding on brakes will cause overheating and further damage .
