Ford Focus high acceleration whilst driving...

Car: Ford Focus
Variant: 1.8 Zetec
Model Year: 2008
Whilst driving at around 50-60 mph, my vehicle went into high acceleration as I approached the first of two bends, following a 3-ton lorry. As I changed down from 5th to 4th, the vehicle went into high acceleration and I realised the 3-tonner was getting close to my front, so swerved to avoid collision, hence, hitting crash barrier on second bend and vehicle ending in dyke. Vehicle has been inspected twice but nothing was found to be wrong, hence, I'm now fighting courts regarding driving without due care and attention, but that doesn't bother me, it's the fact that it went into high acceleration?!

If anybody has experienced similar or know of anything similar happening elsewhere, then would be obliged if you could let me know as soon as possible please!!!

Sorry no solution for you but similar is happening to me now. Though I've been lucky enough not to have an accident. I spoke to a mechanic and he said that this problem sometimes happens on ford vans and is the accelerator problem but did not want to change mine until he was certain that this was the problem.

There is no problem showing up when he puts it on the computer.
