done the stupidist thing ever and got water on top of engine,was running ok for couple of weeks then problems starting the engine,pulled spark plug cover off and plugs had water all around them,dried it up and still not right,got new plugs its a bit better most days when it struggles to start i get cloud of smoke from exhaust,ticking over seems a bit fast 2 about1000 to 1200rpm temp gauge hardly moves from zero, going to get new leads and distributor,change the thermostat and oil and fuel filters,cant find where the thermostat is,is it under the distributor?and what is the procedure for changing filters,i know i need to drain the oil for filters just not sure what order u do it in,also do u think it would worth getting something to clean out engine.ive got a whole host of other probs to post but this 1 takes priority,from windows not working to air comming in from somewhere when u pass 30mph and other stuff,had the car for 5 years with not much probs and have looked after it, and now everything just seems to be going tits up at the same time,any ideas would be greatly appreciated.thanks.bb ps,this is no april fool,wish it was.

before u go pulling apart anything try blowdrying plug leads,coil andany other elec connections.air line does this best but if u havent got one u could use a hair dryer.best of luck.

the other option is to spray wd40 over all the electrical items as it displaces moisture hope this helps
