Ford Focus hissing noise, cutting out

iI have a hissing noise coming from back of engine and often cuts out on me plus full consumption is up.Please help me thanks phil

Hissing noise could either be a gasket or a vacuum hose etc.Case of getting under bonnet and checking out .

Sounds like a vac leak somewhere probably at the back of the engine, if you cannot pin point it just by listening get a lenth of rubber pipe and stick one end in your ear and just probe around under the bonnet with the other end until you find it,
