Ford Focus blue smoke

my daughters focus has started to blow blue smoke out its done 73000 miles. it just started doing this yesterday, it was fine, then it struggled to start yesterday when she got it started it was a bit rattlely top end checked the oil which was low, oil tooped it then started and the smoke started, checked oil and drained a bit off smoke decreased got it home checked oiled again topped it up to max mark started it and reved it over 3000 plumes off blue smoke again its ok until you take it over 3000 plus revs. plugs look ok a nice grey/biscuit colour.

They suffer from piston rings breaking resulting in excessive smoke
