Ford Focus knocking coming from engine? help........

Car: Ford Focus
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
I am very worried! A few days ago a knocking noise started in my car when I drive it. I start the engine, no problem, drive out of my driveway and a loud knocking noise happens, first time for a short while, no it is lasting longer. I only bought the car 4 months ago (out of warranty) and it was serviced and given a new M.O.T. from the Ford Main Dealer I bought it for. I am very worried. Can anyone tell me what the problem is. Is it serious? The knocking sounds awful, LOUD. Is it going to cost a lot of money to repair? Have I been sold a dud car? It's a 2004 Ford Focus and cost me £5,500.
Help :(

Have you had a look underneath to see if anything is hanging down? Could be an engine undertray slightly loose and knocking on th road.
