Ford Focus brake pedal hard

Car: Ford Focus
Variant: 2.0 TDCI
Model Year: 2009
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Had an accident due to an 'intermittant fault with vacuum pump' which makes the brakes hard on start up. I am told a Technical service bulletin has been issued about this fault but I have not been able to verify if this is true and if so when it was issued. Please can anyone help?
