Ford Focus limp mode

Car: Ford Focus
Variant: 2.0 Titanium Deisel
Model Year: 2008
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Car goes into limp mode sporadicaly, various warning lights have appeared and subsequently disappear. no valid faults show on code reader. After reading several forums, bought ECB cleaner, after using car has been ok for approx 2 weeks, now started playing up again. Anyone else having this sort of problem?? any suggestions would be appreciated??

Have you had a "global scan" done?
this scans every module on the vehicle,
and there's a lot o interconnectivity on these.
Not a simple code read.
It's a full system scan.
And it would have helped if you listed just what "various" warning lamps were on.
I think you on the right lines with a connector problem,
But where?
Hopefully the global scan will narrow it down.

It's not the fuel filter. It's almost certainly electrical trigger. Warning lights vary from engine failure to transmission failure, we've had occasional intermittent problems with power steering and electric Windows. Sometimes won't restart at all.
