Ford Focus engine management/multiple issues

Car: Ford Focus
Variant: 1.6 Petrol
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Hi
Worried I have a computer issue, cant really afford to go to ford to look into issue and my uncle doesnt know whats wrong, he only knows the mechanics, not electrics.
While driving, all the lights on the dash flash up, rev and speedometer drop to zero, milage goes ---------, the car looses power momentarily and then all the lights and everything goes back to normal but the engine management stays on till I restart the car but then on trying to start the car, it wont even turn over, its getting harder and harder to start, the car is acting like the chip in the key is going but its the same with both keys so think its an issue with the car being unable to read the chip.
When reading the codes on the computer is comes up with lose of communication when requesting information from various places and one about not being able to read a chip. Might have been more but thats all I can remember.
Has my computer had it and car need scrapping or has anymore else come across this and found a loose wire or something?
Thanks in advance

Common cause of that fault is faulty instrument cluster .
