Ford Focus how to fit a front wheel bearing/hub kit

Car: Ford Focus
Variant: 2.0 TDCI TITANIUM
Model Year: 2008
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hi all,

I've just purchased a front wheel bearing kit which was supplied with the bearing already pressed onto the hub, unfortunately this is the first time I've repaired this kind of set up. every bearing I've replaced before now has been fitted bearing first, pressed in via the back of the housing, then the hub pressed in via the front. has anyone replaced this kind of kit on this make of car? & do I need to use a press? or any specific item with the press? might sound like a stupid question but I'm just quizzing the procedure before I start stripping things down... Thanks

You will need a press and special tools to change this bearing.first remove balljoint nut, shock out balljoint and lever lower arm down, remove track rod end, remove drive shaft bolt at the end and gently knock shaft through, remove caliper, remove disc, remove pinch bolt through strut, unplug a.b.s sensor, hammer hub down off strut.press hub out and new one in,then lubricate joint to slide back strut and hammer bottom balljoint seat to move it up strut, the rest is just the reverse of removal.
