Ford Focus strange noise when car reaches 15 mph??

Car: Ford Focus
Variant: 2.0 TDCI TITANIUM
Model Year: 2008
The car starts & runs fine but when it reaches approx 15 mph it makes a strange scrape/choke kind of noise somewhere in the engine bay just once, then doesn't happen again until I stop & turn the car off then back on. not 100% sure but it sounds like it's coming from somewhere in the offside half of the engine bay, possibly towards the back. does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Check engine / exhaust heat shields for security and no broken welds .

thanks for your response. all checked & all are fine. it seems to be some kind of mechanical part responding to the car reaching a certain speed at the start of the journey as it happens at the exact same speed every time, even if I hold the clutch in & freewheel up to that speed witch is just below 15 mph. it only happens the once when I set off after turning the engine on, then I can come to a stop & set off again & it doesn't happen. it only happens again if I come to a stop & turn the engine off, then back on again & it will make the noise every time I do so??
