Ford Focus auto box fault

Car: Ford Focus
Variant: 1.6 zetec auto
Model Year: 2010
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
1100 miles on clock - when changing from 1st to 2nd (AUTO BOX) there is a loud "click" which only happens once until car has been stopped foe a while. Also 1st gear has whirring noise. Am informed this may be the "A" solenoid. Ford main dealers have blank looks all round over this. Questions - is this correct and where can I buy this item. Ta. yellowfox.

at that mileage i would go back to dealer get them to check it as the noise happens from 1st to 2nd so you are accelerating could be exhaust front pipe seal used to be a common fault or something catching heat shield as for whine oil level could be low but doubt it on such a low miles car and sure you would have noticed any leaks get your dealer to check car out for you

I don't have much idea myself - got the info about "A" solenoid off the net.
