Ford Focus battery light comes on.

battery light comes on every so often when driving,fan comes on when u first start the car even when engines cold,is that rite?? had new battery and allternator but light still comes on!only stays on for 5 to 10 seconds could it be somthing to do with the fan? it was ice cold the other morning when i started it and fan come within 5seconds, thanks.

my suggestion would be to book your car into a reputable garage who can carry out a full diagnostics check and report. the fan on these vehicles is switched via the ECU so that would be the only way to check it out. good luk

A very common problem on Focuses is the engine coolant fan resistors on the radiator cowling , not the ECU .Car is probably scrap by now as post was 7 yrs ago !!
