Ford Focus rattling water pump maybe?

Car: Ford Focus
Variant: 1.8 tddi Manual
Model Year: 2000
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Had a rad hose split and empty my system of water... squeaking started.

Had to run it to get it home (didnt overheat as was a short journey)

Replaced rad hose and refilled, had a bit of an airlock, undid a pipe poof the water bottle dumped itself into the cooling system and rad.. topped up.

Squeaking still there - blowers running hot again tho, so guess it filled up.

Yet the squeak was still there.. I know its bad, but went overload with wd40 on the belt and pulleys that i could aim the straw at.

Ran engine, squeak gone, but at low revs there seems to be a "rattle", not a regular rattle, but a rattle, loud enought to hear with the window open and radio off when idling.

For some reason part of me things that there still may be an airlock around the water pump area and the pump, well, isnt pumping anything - hence rattle. Is there anyway to completely bleed the system, or is it likely to be the pump's knackered from running with no water in for a while?

you seem to have done all you can do but i would say the rattle / sqweek you are getting could be the alternator at low revs with you having a hose blown and has all the water red hot water gone all over the alternator and removed the grease on the bearings hense the bearing running dry
