Ford Focus centeral locking... yet more.

Car: Ford Focus
Variant: 1.8 tddi Manual
Model Year: 2000

Ok, following advice I found the hidden central locking fuse on the back of the fuse box - sure enough it had blown. Took it out and replaced, it popped as soon as it went in, put another on ein and it did the same. Im guessing this means its a door solenoid/lock problem?

Is there any way of working out which lock it is so I can get it reoplaced? Is it worth the 50 quid diagnostic from the ford dealer to tell me which it is?

It looks like my drivers door lock works fine, unlocks with key from outside/locks from outside as well as the manual lock inside.. the passenger door however key doesn't work, but the manual push lock/unlock inside does work.. could this mean the passenger door is the broken one? Is it possible to disconnect the passenger side door power lock and use that manually and leave the others connected and they would work, including my boot hatch button, untill I can find a new one for the passenger side?

Does this make sense or am I going a bit weird now!?
