Ford Focus switch on drivers door

Car: Ford Focus
Variant: 1.6TCDI Titanium
Model Year: 2009
Hello, I have just purchased a Ford Focus and there is a switch on the drivers door that doesnt seem to do anything. It has a symbol of a car with what looks like a wireless signal inside it, I have seen these switches used for locking the doors but with a different symbol. I can't find anything in the owners manual, does anyone know what it does?

Thanks

It's not the blind spot warning on mirror perhaps ?

Tried to find out from one of my former mechanics who is now working with Ford what this switch was for . He said there is that much equipment and optional packs on the TITANIUM model that it's hard to keep track of switches .Think your best bet would be to go into dealers and ask them what it's for .Sorry cant help , but will try and find out . If you find out , let us know with an update ?

Could be that when you press the switch and close the doors, the car might lock itself. But the interior sensors are turned off. There may be a short delay in the doors locking. So once you have pressed the button and closed the doors you may need to wait a few seconds for the doors to lock and arm the vehicle, but the interior sensors will be turned off...

Witty you were right, the switch turns off the internal sensors for the alarm, I guess if you want to stay in a locked car.

Thanks
