Ford Focus C-Max doors squeaking

Car: Ford Focus C-Max
Variant: Auto
Model Year: 2006
Categories: Leaks & Noises
I have a second hand Ford Focus C-Max and the doors have started to squeak. When I am on a smooth surface then things are fine but as soon as I hit any kind of bad/rough serface then the doors start to squeak. It would appear that the rubber seal on the door is rubbing against the rubber seal in the door frame. Has anyone had this problem and is there a cure.
Many thanks.

I have an 04 plate 1.6 diesel cmax zetec fitted with cvt transmission which has done 39,000 miles. Until recently everything was ok. However about a month ago both front doors started squeaking quite badly when travelling at low speeds.
A friend has just purchased an 06 plate 1.8 petrol which has done about 9,000 miles. His doors started squeaking badly just after he had purchased from main dealer. Despite the dealer fitting new door seals the noise returned after a few days.
The squeak appears to be coming not from the main door seals but from the seal running along the top of the door. If you press the door from the outside it is quite 'squeaky'. Any ideas on a permanent solution?

it is the top of the seals rubbing against the body what you need is some teflon tape and stick it on the body from front door to the back door make sure there is no silicone on the seals if so remove with silicone remover the roll of tape is avaliable at any bmw dealership as they have the same problem with the 5 series and that is the fix

I have a 10 plate, so quite new, top of the range C-Max 2.0 TDCI Titanium that, until recently had extremely annoying creaking doors, most particularly the front ones. The local Ford garage that I bought it from when 7 months old has applied Hy-Shine Vinyl & Rubber Dressing to all door rubbers including the felt like strip on the top of the doors. The improvement was instant and has only returned to a minor extent to front passenger door once since. A re-application on the offending door cured problem. It's been totally silent since and a much better car to drive as a result. The garage has given me a container of the solution as not sure if it's available outside the trade. It's manufactured by Shine-On of Great Yeldham CO9 4QT and their phone number is 01787 237329. Hope this will put pay to this widespread C-Max problem for all affected.

I fixed this by pulling the top of the window frame with the window down, so the frame sits tighter against the body. Then I added a thin layer of silicone lubricant to the top rubber seal to prevent any rubbing between the door and body.
