Ford Focus C-Max lack of revs intermitted whether hot/cold

Car: Ford Focus C-Max
Variant: 2.0 TDCI
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Problem has occurred on numerous occasions. This seems to be whether slowing down to a lower speed or when pulling away after being at a stand still for a few minutes i.e at traffic lights. When pushing your foot down on the accelerator pedal there is no power and the rev counter does not move past 1000 revs(sometimes has then cut out) Have then proceeded to pump accelerator pedal and eventually got rev counter moving and car has been fine.
When problem first occurred it was taken into Ford where they cleaned the gas circulation valve and had to recode the injectors, is this a known fault

yes injectors and egr valves are very common on ford diesels throughout the range. maybe they need to be replaced. you need to take it to garage to get a fault code read out. this will also tell u if you still have a problem with the egr valve and injectors. any good back street garage should have diagnostic equipment , they genarly charge between 40 and 50 bucks. good luck
