Ford Focus C-Max central locking fault

Intermittent fault with key remote locking, has led to now complete overload of (what appears to be) the anti-theft alarm system.

The alarm is constantly on (without sound i.e. flashing hazard lights) and front wipers constantly in use & dashboard lit up.

Is your battery all right in the remote ? What happens if you manually lock with the key ?
