Hi, Hoping someone may help me wit ha problem i have with my ford fiesta zetec 1.4 on a 04 reg, i have noticed lately that it is developed a chugging motion in 2nd & 3rd gears at low revs , can anyone please point me in the right direction as i do not fancy getting my pants pulled down at the garage

It sounds like a fuel starvation/injector problem. Are you sure you arent simply in the wrong gear with not enough revs?! Stupid question but always worth asking. Give me some more info....

Hi Thanks for the reply, i did put some redex into the fuel but thsi made no difference, i thought there could be a build up of crap in the fuel somewhere thats why i put the redex in but no luck, it seems to chugg when slowing down or moving off in the gears described,
Only in these gears that it does this, i thought it maybe misfiring, not sure though,
any thoughts????

A misfire would produce more of a chugging in every gear although saying that it could be intermitant with low revs. You could try plug leads? If it doesnt work keep the packaging and take em back. Redex very rarely works. Have you got a clean Air/Fuel filter fitted? Have you recently run the car down to an empty tank?
