Ford Fiesta ford fiesta clutch

Car: Ford Fiesta
Variant: 1.4
Model Year: 2003
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
The clutch went on my car about 3 months ago while i was driving through a tunnel, i thought the clutch had gone as it just went floppy. Turned out there was a clip missing so we temporarily put a tie wrap on which lasted until today when it did it again. Went to ringways & bought the part for 0.42p but it pops off after you dip the clutch a few times. Any idea why this might be happening?

It's a known and common fault which is normally cured by fitting clip .Can only assume clip was not fitted on far enough , or for some reason not tight on pin .If stuck , you can fit a small jubilee clip onto to pin to hold pedal .

as whitinghame said this is a common fault, you need to fit a star washer/locking washer to the pedal to hold the master cylinder on.
