Ford Fiesta cutting out

Car: Ford Fiesta
Variant: 12.5 16v Zetec
Model Year: 1999
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
The car drives fine but some times when turning a corner it will cut out, the steering goes heavy of course and all the warning lights come on, i have to turn the ignition off and then back on again, sometimes i have to wait a while to this, any ideas?

the one thing that i can suggest for this is that there may be something a round the steering colume ie a wire arcing against metal the only other thing i can suggest is start the car on the spot and turn the steering wheel and when the car cuts out have a feel around the colume just to see if there is anything catching

Is the vehicle low on fuel when this happens?
