Ford Fiesta car pulling back

Car: Ford Fiesta
Variant: zetec
Model Year: 1997
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
my car is losing power and pulling back on the gass i have checked the air filter and plugs and leads all appear to be fine its a strange problem sometimes when i do not warm cvar up she struggles to pick any speed up in low gears then when warm she will suddendley lose power in fourth and fifth gears ans changing them and pumping the acellerator makes no difference she just seems to pick up again as and when she pleases can anyone suggest what it may be as only just started happening since changing the filer i know its all connected properly and have even tested it with no filter on and no noise difference let alone power difference so ruling out the filter plugs all spark well to it has a temp gage that says its fine also a indicator on the filter which has not brough up my car management light so assume is fine any ideas or shall i just bring it in to garage for immesions test?

SOAK THE HT LEADS IN WD 40 START ENGINE IF 1 FAULTY THE SPARK WILL IGNITE THE WD40 AND GO "POP" IF THIS HAPPENS REPLACE HT SET OTHERWISE COIL PACK COULD BE PROBLEM

If it started after replacing air filter , make sure there is no vacuum / air hoses left off or knocked off accidently . If so , will be drawing air , causing fault .

i took it to a garage who said that it was my air flow meter charging me a fotune for telling me this so i went out and replaced the part my self and the problem still occurs now it pulls back worst then ever esp when going uphill i will drop gears and it makes no diffference also it has now started to drop as low as 30pmh which is dangerous on motorway as you can imagine, i even tried putting the old filter back on and disconnecting the batter for a time and sibce doing this the problem has met new heights im afriad to take it back to the garage who told me if i paid 140 they woud fit and replace the meter of which took me ten minutes and no where near the orice to do my self as they will put back on machine charging me again another 60.00 forsomething that its not please help me i used devon garages and they promised me a loan car of which i did not get either now im stuck for answers the plugs all spark brilliantly tested them one by one and each sparked fine so now at witts end and why is my car also when for example i stop at a roundabout is it high reving then suddendly after stopping for a few secons just dropping
