Ford Fiesta ford fiesta clutch pedal

Car: Ford Fiesta
Variant: 1.25 zetec climate
Model Year: 2006
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss

I have an 06 ford fiesta zetec climate. in july just before its 3 year warranty was up i experienced a problem where i thought the clutch had gone as the clutch had no power to it at all. On calling the RAC out out they told me it was a common problem & would put a clamp on the pedal to stop it happening again.
Here we are 4 months later the self same thing has happened again..coincidently in the same place as well!!! The RAC have replaced the clamp today but told me this needs looking at by ford,as this occured first time within the warranty i have emailed them today & asked for them to view this matter. Has anybody else expereinced this problem

im sure ford did a recall to fit a clip that stops the pushrod falling off the pedal but we used to drill a hole in the pedal and fit a washer and split pin so it never falls off again might be worth getting your garage to do the same

The same thing has happened to me, it went about 3 months ago while i was driving through a tunnel, i thought the clutch had gone, it just went floppy. Turned out there was a clip missing so we temporarily put a tie wrap on which lasted until today when it did it again. Went to ringways & bought the part for 0.42p but it pops off after you dip the clutch a few times. Any idea why this might be happening?
