If I dont use my car for seven days the battery is flat. 12 mile drive on Thursday battery was only reading 12.3 volts when I stopped. Battery checked out good, alternator good. Today, Saturday battery 12.1. Auto electritian says I have a drain of 28mv. with the fuse box in the engine bay disconnected, alternator disconnected, and all live fuses removed from fuse box passenger footwell, the discharge is still there. Any suggestions?

Why cant the auto electrician find the cause , that's his job ?

He came straight out and was short for time, He was with me for nearly two hours and only charged £60. He has gone away to have a rethink as to what it can be. If the discharge does not go through any fuses then I think we will be scratching our heads.

Have you LOAD tested your battery ? If original and not fully charged / weak cells , it wont hold a charge . Another thing I've come across on some , if the key remote is kept in house or anywhere in range of car it can still transmit and not allow certain systems / modules to shut down , draining battery.

Thanks for your reply. The battery has been load tested twice and found to be good. How far should the keys be from the car? We went on holiday and left the car at the airport for ten days and did not have a problem.
