Ford Fiesta boot door keeps unlocking itself

When starting up car, the boot door keeps unlocking itself, and this shows up on the warning light. All other doors are fine. When I shut the boot door, and get back in and start up car, it unlocks itself again!

Usually caused by the boot switch needing replaced .Could also check for water ingress on switch

I had the same problem it's a common fault with the fiesta.

What was causing the problem, and did you get it resolved?

As advised it was the tailgate switch. Common fault .
