Ford Fiesta whirring/grinding sound

Car: Ford Fiesta
Variant: Zetec S
Model Year: 2002
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
I've been having a problem on my fiesta for about a month now. Ive changed all the bearings + CV joint on the passengers side but the problem is still occuring. Its starts whirring at about 25MPH and gets louder the faster I go. The sound then changes to a grinding sound as I turn right indicating that theres a problem on the left hand side. My dad reckons its the gearbox but even out of gear it still making the sounds. Any ideas?
