Ford Fiesta wont start

i have just put a new starter motor on my car ,but when i turn the key nothing every thing was fine till i put on the new starter motor, when i turn the key as i said nothing but when the key is out it clicks ,what appears to be behind the bulk head drivers side ,i have checked the ignition relay and that appears to be okay as i say the clicking appears to be behind the bulkhead drivers side down by the clutch and brake pedals, any help will be truly gratefull for ,thanking you

have you replaced all the leads you took off the battery and did you remember to put the engine earth back on its normally bolted on with one of the starter motor fixing bolts

everything is back where it came from ,its just got no life ,battery fully charged,as i say i turn the and it does not even turn the engine at all ,it just clicks a few times but only when the key is taken out , must be aliens about here in cheshire haha

everything back has it should be but nothing back flat after two days so something is draining the power but where. as i say it just keeps clicking it be coming from the solinoid i just dont know .

has to be relay but clean all the contact points on the wiring around the battery and starter they could be corroded causing a bad connection or make sure the wiring has been put back the right way round
