Ford Fiesta speedo/rev meter not lighting up

Car: Ford Fiesta
Variant: 52 plate (mk6) 1.4 zetec
Model Year: 2002
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hi there,
Basically, when I put my headlights on, my speedo/rev meter light do not become visible (can't see speed at night).

This also applies to the lights for the centre console (cd player etc). All other lights (high beam, handbrake etc) work fine.

Please can anybody help diagnose the problem as when driving out of town I can't see my speed. Bit annoying when I come across a speed camera!

Thank you in advance.

There isn't one. I've also checked the fuses and tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes...
