Ford Fiesta warning lights illuminated

Car: Ford Fiesta
Variant: Zetec Climate 1.4
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hi

I have a Ford Fiesta Zetec Climate (1.4) 55 Reg and the ABS and Brake warning lights came on earlier this evening.

I stopped, turned the engine off for about 10 secs, then started the engine again. The warning lights were still displayed.

This time, however, I also noticed that the 'engine' symbol (engine management?) was illuminated and the LCD display (for MPG, Trip mileage, etc) showed - - - - rather than the usual (variable) figures (these last twoo may or may not have been like this initially - I didn't notice).

Have you got any ideas on the likely / possible causes of this please?

A quick reply would be much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

Abs issue, you need to get a code read to see what the fault is most likely a wheel speed sensor

Many thanks for your reply. The local Ford garage have said it is due to a faulty ABS control module (part £576 / fitted £775, both incl.VAT !!)
