Ford Escort juddering when setting off

Car: Ford Escort
Variant: 1.8 d van
Model Year: 1999
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When i set off in my van it vigorously judders as if im not putting enough revs on, i was just wondering what this could be as i thought when a clutch is on its way out it slips and not judders, HELP

A clutch can judder if the centre plate springs ar knackered .If that van has a DMF (dual mass flywheel ) that could be the cause .If not clutch , check engine mountings .

i thought dual mass fly wheels started on the mk3 mondeo's, i know they are expensive to do if you have to pay a garage to fix it
