Car: Ford Escort
Variant: 1.6 finesse
Model Year: 1998
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hi there,
I have just bought a car from a gentleman today and found that when i drove it home there was a squeeking noise from the front wheels, as i got faster the sqeeking got faster and as i slowed so did the squeeking, everything else is fine and it drives really well, it only cost me 500 pounds so i knew it wouldn't be perfect, any ideas? it has had new tyres on the front and new brake pads too according the the guy. hope you can help.

i would have the brake pads checked. it sounds like a rotational noise. if the pasa are ok, the it could be a wheel bearing starting to deteriorate. hope this helps!!

hiya i checked the discs at the front and they felt very grooved especially the drivers side could it be just the discs? i did think it may have been the bearings too after somethings i could find on the web. How much do you think it could cost me to get this sorted if these are the problems?

many thanks
