Ford C-MAX cant unlock car

When I try to unlock the doors I see Child Lock Malfunction - Service Req on the dash but I am outside the car and cant get into it

Can you not get the tailgate open and going in through that way to open the doors ?

no all locks are dead, it did open eventually after about 5 hours of waiting, some replies I have seen on other chats say it could be water getting through a seal on the wing mirror and affecting the central locking sensor so that would fit with it drying out after that time but I still dont know for sure and since its the third time it has happened exactly the same (got in after waiting) it looks like I have an ongoing problem

Never had the mirror problem with water on any cars , but who knows , anything possible . What you could check is the wiring from A pillar in to the door frame ( in rubber sheath ) for any wiring damage / breaks . Another thing you can check is your car battery voltage , as if low , causes all sorts of strange problems

its a new battery but I will check the wiring thanks
