Ford C-MAX auto clutch slipping

Car: Ford C-MAX
Variant: Titanium 2.0l Automatic
Model Year: 2007
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
My car is automatic transmission. The clutch is slipping and the fuel consumption is ridiculously low (25mpg).
I contacted a Ford dealer who told me that a clutch replacement part would be £1200 plus fitting. I've searched for a replacement part to no avail. Can anyone suggest a remedy ? (Without saying get rid of the car).

You could get an estimate from an independent automatic gearbox specialist .If you can get an accredited company all the better as there are a lot of " cowboys " about .
