Fiat Punto car starts and drives for so long then cuts out and needs to be jump started to get it going agian

sounds like you have an alternator/charging issue get the alternator belt checked for condition and tightness then get the charge rate checked should be between 13.5 to 14.5 volts with engine running and loads on example lights on and heater blowing. check at the battery and the back of the alternator incase you have voltage drop also make sure the battrey warning light is on with ignition on and goes out when started
