My Punto starts on first go no problem runs for about half a minute and cuts out then wont restart! leave for about half an hour and you can go through the same procedure again. Tried diagnostics on it get a reading when car is running but not when stopped ! I have this car in a garage but the mechanic??? is just as baffled as me and could be costing me please help before I have a breakdown! just bought it for my grandson

Suspect the Crank Angle Sensor,
your null code reading could be a result of no CAS signal which the ECU will just interperate as the engine not turning over,
Only way to confirm is with an occilliscope trace pattern when its running and when not.
