Daewoo Matiz very sluggish and track rod end has snapped

just bought the car and was told it needed a new coil pack as its very sluggish going up banks and keeps loosing power, then last night the track rod end snapped, could that be why the car was sluggish or are they not related.

Not related . Unusual for t/rod end to snap , apart from very dangerous .Normally get indications if worn .

ive been told the ball joint has broke, not the track rod end, can i buy a new ball joint or do i need to buy the whole arm
