Daewoo Matiz no spark at plugs

Car: Daewoo Matiz
Model Year: 1999

car missfireing a little yesterday,
went to start next day no spark,
changed cap rotor arm leads no difference
only had car two weeks noticed check engine light comes on on motorways and at higher speeds but dont affect the car can anyone help

If it has a distributor , that could be your fault . Check this from Daewoo forum ,

OK - the thing you called a crank sensor is actually called the optical sensor. its located inside the dizzy..

the other "thingy" is the OBD communication port.

the optical sensor can be replaced alone or an entire dizzy in order.

the correct part number for the optical sensor is 93740928 (model years 1998~2005)

and here is what the O/S looks like:



you can buy and replace it yourself if you are a handy guy.
