2022 Dacia Sandero engine switched on but gears didnt engage when clutch released.

A few weeks ago we parked on with a sloping car park with a dry stone wall a couple of metres in front of the bonnet. When trying to select reverse gear to back out of the parking space we could not select any gear and the car kept rolling forward towards the wall. Scary.
Yesterday we were in a queue of traffic on a steep hill. We were in neutral with the handbrake on waiting for the traffic to move and when we tried to move off we could not select a gear and the car kept rolling backwards. Scary again.

You either have a clutch or gearbox fault , or both . Check with your dealership if a known fault and any recalls or TSBs on the problem . Whatever , get it in to dealership for checking whilst still under warranty . This also gets the fault logged on to their system in the event they do nothing and you have problems down the line .
