Citroen Xsara clutch pedal travel

Car: Citroen Xsara
Variant: 1.4SX 5DR
Model Year: 2001
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
Hello. The Clutch Pedal on my Xsara 1.4 comes quite high off the Floor before the Car takes off. I asked a Citroen Dealer and he said there is no adjustment on same. The Car is Driving fine apart from this problem. Has anybody got any suggestions to make taking off more comfortable i.e. how I can lower the point in the Clutch Pedal travel Arc at which the car takes off.
Thanks for any help or advice fothcoming.

The advice from Citroen dealer is correct . With your car having a hydraulic clutch it is self adjusting , not like a cable where you could alter height / clearance .If it's high on pick up point ,could be indicative of general wear on clutch itself , though if working o.k and no slip , wouldn't be too worried .Clutches , like brakes are a wear and tear item and eventually will need replaced .Hope this helps you.
