iv had this problem with my car for about 2 mnths now,when im driving it seems to lose power when im in 2nd gear,esp when iv slowed down and just turned into a new road,it seems to hesitate and if i dont give it more gas it cuts out?
it also now seems realy sluggish when i pull off in 1st gear aswell,and like iv said it will cut out if i dont give it alot ov gas?
twice iv to it to my local garage but as it doesnt happen all the time he cannot seem to find a fault with it as my engine light doesnt come on??,its just getting to the point now where im cutting out on roundabouts and junctions,and with my kids in the car its getting dangerous,so any suggestions would be very gratefull.

Best to get a diagnostic check carried ,dangerous to drive in that condition.

Hi,
Have been experiencing the same issue as you. Don't bother with the diagnostic test because unless you are showing an error on the dashboard (something flashing a fault) it will show nothing in this test. Here's the bit that you may want to try - this is how I cured mine. It would seem that this model of car does not like to run low on fuel and certainly doesn't like to have it's reserve light on. So always make sure that you keep the petrol level up. I wait until it drops just below 1/4 tank and then fill up. The other thing that I did was to put a bottle of Lucas upper cylinder Lubricant in the petrol when my tank was half full costs £5.75 from my local autopart shop. You would not believe the difference this has made and it is now like driving a very well behaved car and the problem has disappeared. I hope it's the same for you and this info helps.
