If coolant level dropping , sounds like head gasket leaking .

A simple block test will confirm if head / gasket is leaking .

how do U do a block test?if head gaskets leaking is there an easy fix?
Posted Mar 5, 2013 (11 years ago)
You need a block tester kit and the fluid changes colour if hydro carbons are found in cooling system indicating gasket / head leaking .No easy fix , head off and fit new gasket and probably head tested and skimmmed .

Take it to a garage and let them carry out the test for you to confirm but suspect the outcome will be headgasket failure

You can buy a block test kit for less than £30 and do it yourself at a lot cheaper price than any garage .

suppose you can always lend it to your mates afterwards.
