Citroen Xsara Picasso oil pressure low

Car: Citroen Xsara Picasso
Variant: 1.6 petrol
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
The oil light and warning sound has come on indicating the oil pressure is low. I have had it checked and there is enough oil, the filter is not damaged, the switch is ok and the pressure in the engine is ok but still the warning. Any ideas what the problem is and how do I get rid of the annoying warning noise.

have you checked the oil pressure with a gauge ? could be a blocked pick up in the sump if you havent,if you really do have good oil pressure then its most probably a sensor
