Citroen Xsara Picasso key hob

key hob broken can only just open doors with it , the key which starts ignition doesnt open the doors . i know weird bought the car second hand so think maybe the barrel been changed ... got quote from dealer for new key n recoding far too dear . wondering if i could purchase those new kits for central locking but unsure it will work .. any 1 know for sure please let me know asap or im no going to be able to get into this car 1 day .

Can you not just open door manually if you dont want to replace key fob ?
