Citroen Xsara Picasso digital display not illuminated

The digital display on my Citroen just went blank whilst driving the car. You can just make out the speedo and petrol gauge and these are still working but barely visible.
Have checked the bulbs and fuses but all ok.
Any other suggestions?

Didn't work.
Haved tried to adjust the brightness of the display and used the day/night button but no joy!
Any other suggestions?
