Citroen Xsara Picasso loosing coolant

As out lined below . My garage tells me it’s a coolant pipe needed . £150 + 4 hrs labour. £500. Now , I wasn’t told if it is a rubber or perhaps is there a steel pipe at the rear of the engine ?

Did you ask them ? could be either or both . A lot of different makes had a metal pipe running behind engine and hoses connected .
